At Cornerstone Science Academy, mentorship is not an extra. It is part of the lesson experience and one of the main reasons our support feels different.
The 60-minute Cornerstone Session
15 minutes of mentorship. 45 minutes of focused tutoring.
Each lesson runs for one full hour on Zoom. The first 15 minutes are intentionally dedicated to mentorship and academic coaching, where the tutor checks in with the learner, discusses goals, confidence, study habits and challenges, then helps the learner prepare mentally for the academic work ahead.
The remaining 45 minutes are used for personalised one-on-one tutoring aligned with the learner’s curriculum, pace and academic needs.

All CSA sessions are delivered live on Zoom, making high-quality tutoring accessible from anywhere in South Africa. Learners can ask questions, work through examples, use screen sharing and engage directly with their tutor in real time.
